You might remember we used these cute Merry Little Christmas card kits for a stamping class project last month (see them HERE), and I thought I'd use one of the cards and dress it up a little... I LOVE the poinsettia from the "Joyful Christmas" stamp set (pg 27 in the Stampin' UP! Holiday Catalog).. so I stamped the tag in the card kit with that pretty flower and then added Season's Greetings from the Joy to the World stamp set (pg 24 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog).

The kit comes with the pretty red polka dot envelope liners.. isn't that a pretty touch?

I know what you are thinking... the Happiest Place on Earth.. Disneyland.. well... I learned years ago from my friend Wanda, that the Happiest Place on Earth is TRULY The Container Store!!  Yep.. for us crafty type people, that is just a little slice of heaven on earth!!!

I picked up this CUTE polka dot gift box at The Container Store the other night when I was shopping for gift wrap and then I thought... DISNEY... Cuteness... I can do this...

I know that Macie and her mom Wendy LOVE anything Disney, so I added 3 black circles with my Stampin' Up! Circle Framelit dies and Basic Black cardstock, then added a bow from the Pretty Presents Designer Bows package (preprinted, precut!) and voila.. doesn't it just scream Minnie Mouse!?

Perfect Pennants Christmas Tree Cards

Do you remember the clever Christmas Tree Cards I blogged a couple weeks ago featuring the Perfect Pennants Big Shot die? One of the really fun events I look forward to each year with my Luv 2 Stamp Group is our annual Holiday lunch (or sometime dinner) and Gift Exchange!  Each year we gather and celebrate and enjoy good food and dear friends and each person brings a handmade gift, featuring Stampin' Up! products.  As you can see, this year, the "curly paper" projects were a hit, featured in about 1/2 of the gifts!

I found that I liked this best when I glued 2 Frosted Finishes snowflakes back to back with Crystal Effects and then attached them to the chain.  It ensures you will see a pretty sparkly snowflake if your embellishments flip around, and, it gives the piece such a nice weight.

Thank you for all your kind comments on my Painter's Tape Magnificent Maple fall card last week!

Today I wanted to show you a similar card.. we made this in one of my fall Stamp a Stack classes.

This card features the Painter's Tape technique and the Magnificent Maple single stamp from Stampin' Up!, on a Very Vanilla 4"x5-1/4" panel.  Students had their choice of using Crushed Curry, Really Rust, or Pumpkin Pie folded cards for their card bases.

Our cards were embellished with the 2013-2015 In Color Boutique Details Embellishments as well as 7/16" Natural Trim.

I invite you to read the M&M Christmas Story!

One of the benefits I offer to my Luv 2 Stamp Group is both a private Facebook group just for our team, and also a faith-based facebook support group for my team that we call

Luv 2 Stamp Serve Pray.

I wanted to make a special gift for this Luv 2 Stamp Serve Pray group, so this week I sent them each one of these M&M Christmas Story gift bags plus one of my Gratitude and Praise Swatchbooks.

I created these using My Digital Studio swatchbooks, then took the rivet out of them and used the pages as individual tags.

I started with the 12 Days of Christmas Swatchbook template download for My Digital Studio

and then customized it with my own text.

Above and below you can see the front and back of the tags.

I filled a Stampin' Up! 4"x6" cello bag with M&M's and tied them with the Cherry Cobbler 1" ribbon, then added the MDS swatchbook tag!

Luv 2 Stamp Group Skype Meeting is TODAY!

This is just WAY too exiting... today I have about 25 of my Luv 2 Stamp Group demonstrators participating in a SKYPE online meeting!!  I will be initiating a group call twice today, and each time about a dozen of our demonstrators will be connecting with each other across the USA, through the miles, over the river and through the woods.. :)  via Skype!!

We are having a short business meeting where I will be sharing tips and info about the upcoming Occasions catalog and Sale a Bration, and then we are making 2 projects together!  I sent each person the supplies to make the 2 projects below!

  I cut the triangle out of the Perfect Pennants Big Shot die, then used strips of Season of Style Washi Tape and Glimmer paper to cover the triangle.  Decorate it with Rhinestones for some BLING!

The tree trunk is the Ticket Punch!

Background is embossed with the Stylish Stripes embossing folder.

"Long Distance" project packets are always a "challenge" because we cannot send any stamped images, so, I was as creative as I could be and used Washi Tape, embossing folders, punches, ribbon, rhinestones, Glimmer paper and our great Tag a Bag Boxes for our project supplies!

Project #2:

TIP:  before assembling the box, put the washi tape around both sides of the box (while it's still flat)

TIP: put the strip of Designer paper on the clear lid while the lid is still flat.

I decorated a Whisper White "Chalk Talk" tag with punched out pieces of Season of Style designer paper using the new Ornament punch in the Holiday Catalog, then finished it off with the beautiful Cherry Cobbler ribbon!

Have you tried this fun background with Painter's Tape?

Simply tear off a small strip of blue painters tape, lay it GENTLY on your open ink pad, tap lightly with your finger to pick up some ink, then lay it on your cardstock and press gently.  It transfers the ink to your paper in a really pretty pattern!

For the focal point I stamped the Magnificent Maple leaf with Early Espresso ink on Very Vanilla cardstock, and then sponged all over it with fall colors like Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Tangerine Tango, Pumpkin Pie... yumm.. what do you think of this delicious combo?

It was really fun making this card at Cindee's house a few months ago.. I can't believe it took me so long to blog this one... Happy "almost" Thanksgiving everyone!

FACT: I have been prepping for and teaching stamping classes for about 21 years now.

THAT'S A LONG TIME and a LOT of prep!

I taught stamp classes at a craft store called Cottage Crafts before I became a

Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in 1995.

I LOVE it when I can create projects without spending weeks prepping for the class! :)
