Yesterday I mentioned attending a fun stamping afternoon at Susan's house... check out this adorable Punch Art Santa we made!! It's a topper for the 1"x8" cello bags from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog! Huge thanks to Susan and Janet for hosting this fun afternoon!
here are all the fun punched pieces you'll need to make this:
Now.. if you've ever tried to get a piece of licorice into the 1"x8" cello bags, you'll know it's rather difficult because the licorice is kind of "sticky".... well, here's the secret....
Fold a piece of cardstock small enough to slip inside the 1x8 cello, then load your licorice inside the folded cardstock and slip them both into the bag, then pull the cardstock out!
Thanks to Janet Baker for this great demo/tip!
This tip also works for loading other candies into the cello too!!

He's just too cute! What color card stock did you use for his face and nose? Did you use the new Dazzling Details or Dazzling Diamonds glitter on his hat.
Just too cute!

This is adorable!!! Way way way too cute. Love the tip about getting the licorice into the bags also. Of course, now I can't use Susan's tip about just giving up and eating the licorice when I couldn't get it into the bag. lol

I don't see where you use the postage stamp punch. I see the scallop square punch but it is not listed.

This is a great project! Just a couple of questions. Did you add a back to this or is it just the santa face front? How did you attach the cello bag?
Thanks for sharing
