One thing I have treasured since I was a little girl is this quilt that my grandma and great-grandma made for me (completed about 1965) .. they both called me "Peaches & Cream" and this quilt was supposed to remind me of that.
I decided to try using some of our Stampin' Up! punches to make some quilt cards.. I came up with a couple and wanted to share one with you today.. .
While this is not supposed to duplicate my quilt, the quilt very loosly influenced my card design.
here is a bit of a close up
I punched out different designs with 3 punch images from the BEYOND THE GARDEN Designer Paper pack (#122342) in the Summer Mini catalog (pg 23). Here are the 2 paper designs from that pack that I used:
Punch used for paper #1 for the squares: Postage Stamp Punch, #122344, pg 10 Summer Mini Catalog
Punch used for paper #1 and #2 for large and small flower: Boho Blossoms Extra large punch, #119858, pg 200 Stampin' Up! catalog
After punching the postage stamp squares I used a Poppy Parade marker and drew stitching lines around the edges.
I sponged the edges of each flower with Poppy Parade ink and a sponge dauber and used a pencil eraser to "stamp" the flower centers.
I layered the small flower on the large flower and then onto the postage stamp piece using Snail adhesive.
All of the pieces are layered onto a So Saffron panel, then onto a Peach Parfait panel and onto a Poppy Parade folded card.
Hope you like it! Have a fab day!

What a wonderful idea!!
I was very blessed to receive one of my husband's grandmother's quilt. I'm going to give this a try. What a great gift idea to give to my Mother-in-law, who doesn't need or want anything.
Thanks for sharing (as always!)
