I taught a 3 hour My Digital Studio Class (twice!) this weekend.. we had so much fun and it was priceless to see the "lightbulbs" go on as my class attendees asked questions and created digital projects on their computer step by step with me. It was great to meet Doreen and Jan for the first time, too!  Thanks to everyone who attended! 

We made 2 MDS Hybrid projects after the 2 hour computer session.. here is what we made:

 

This project features a My Digital Studio box pattern from the hostess offering last Christmas called Savor the Season.  I embellished it with the Meant to Be download (#129354), the Attic Boutique download #129358, we used the Simply Scored tool (#122334) to score the box, and then decorated it with Blushing Bride Pleated ribbon #125570

 

 I thought it would make a really cute wedding or shower favor box filled with chocolates, cookies, or whatevers!

Our hybrid Digital card project features the fabulous Simply Sent Everyday Elegance cards (#122377 - or get them FREE.. ask me how!) and a focal point designed with the Fabulous Flourets digital download (#126027), die cut and embossed with the Labels Collection Framlet die (#125598) and then accented with the Beautiful Wings butterfly embosslit (#118138) or the Mixed bunch set (#125535/125537) and Bossom Punch (#125603).

It's that time again... time for another

Luv 2 Stamp Group meeting!!

Today is going to be a lot of fun!

I always like to welcome our first timers and visitors with a little gift.. I made the heart tags with My Digital Studio and the fun new MY CUTE VALENTINE Digital Download! Inside the bag are some Stampin' Up! notepads and pens.

 After I printed the hearts, I cut them out using the FABULOUS new Hearts Framelits dies and the Big Shot from Stampin' Up!

I am so excited about today.. our meeting is going to be so much fun!!  I have printed and collated and bagged up 1,457 color copy handouts for my gals!

We are making 4 fun projects, Cindee is demo'ing her gorgeous flower pin, we are hearing tons of tips and ideas from the Stampin' Up! Leadership conference, and I am presenting a Stampin' Up! Workshop.  I've been doing workshops for almost 17 years, and I still remember my first workshop, I practiced "my speech" about 15 times before the workshop.. I brought loads and loads of supplies with me, and I think I tried to teach every stamping technique known to mankind!  LOL 

My, how things have changed! :)

Anyway.. back to the meeting.. I had fun making some of the handouts using MDS images.. I love adding the images to my Word documents as well as creating documents with MDS artwork in My Digital Studio.

I created our agenda using Word and inserting MDS images to decorate the page!

 

And I created the "Wow Items I learned today" sheet in My Digital Studio, for my meeting attendees to write down and remember the fabulous tips they hear today.

Happy New Year everyone!

I must take a moment to brag about my amazingly talented dad.. he has been a watercolor artist all of his life (in addition to an architect in his professional career), and we are SO BLESSED to have a house-full of his amazing artwork.  You can see more of Jim Burns' artwork on his website here.

For Christmas this year, I took photos of a dozen of his paintings and I made a MY DIGTIAL STUDIO CALENDAR with his artwork!  I gave them as gifts to family members.  This was a super easy project since he had already done the artwork and I just basically plunked them into the My Digital Studio 10"x5" Landscape Desktop Calendar with easel.  It comes printed and spiral bound from the Stampin' Up! MDS printing service, with this gorgeous heavy weight easel.  I love them!  (read more here about the calendars  you can make with MDS).

2012 MDS Desktop Calendar Offer

I have a limited number of these calendars for sale.  These 5-1/2" x 7" Desktop Calendars, complete with desktop easel stand are professionally printed and spiral bound.  I have also designed the "back side" of each monthly page in My Digital Studio so at the end of 2012 you will have 12 fun "scrapbook pages" or 12 card fronts if you wish to take apart the calendar and repurpose the pages.

Each calendar is $19.95 plus shipping.  I have 18 available right now but can order more.

 

This is a 12 month calendar, January 2012 to December 2012, spiral bound and includes desktop easel stand. This is not a kit. It is a completed calendar but may be embellished with your choice of embellishments such as brads, rhinestones, pearls, buttons, tags, etc.

Last Christmas I discoverd this great mix of Brownies and Chocolate Chip cookies.. but this year I improved upon it!!!!  I added some Reese's peanut butter chips to part of the pan and some Heath Toffee pieces to the other part of the pan.... ooooooooooooooh my ... yum!!

I did leave a little bit of it without any chips just in case this idea didn't work out...

Anyone close to me knows I don't like to cook.. at all.. but hey, I can make this! :)

the Reese's chips and the Heath toffee pieces are sprinkled on the brownie batter, then the Chocolate Chip cookie dough part goes on top:

My Digital Studio calendar template and redesigned several of the pages for this 2012 Calendar!  My Kit includes the professionally printed desktop spiral bound calendar with the stand up easel, a packet of Stampin' Up! accessories/supplies to decorate each monthly page, and a 6 page emailed tutorial with photos of the completed pages so you can decorate each page with your included packet of supplies.  Calendar measures 10" x 5".

I loosly based my design on the calendar featured  on page 36 of the Stampin' Up! HOliday mini catalog.

One difference is that I decided to print out the images in My Digital Studio so that the class would go a little quicker.  Here is the page my students will receive:

 

The version in the Stampin' Up! catalog uses the 25 & Counting stamp set on pg 37 of the Holiday mini catalog. I used the My Digital Studio version of this set.

Each student will punch out the 34 images with the following punches and add them to the calendar:

• 1” square punch
• 1” circle punch
• 1-1/4” square punch
• 1-1/4” circle punch
• Curly Label punch
• Scallop Square punch
• Scallop circle punch
