I wouldn't do this for just ANYONE you understand... buy my dear friend Tina was having trouble finding these new Coconut M&M's in her neck of the woods... so.... I knew where to find them up here and I just HAD to get them for her! :)  I'll be shipping them out on Monday morning :)

Hawaiian Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip - Flat Patty was There!

Thanks to my friend Barb Mullikin, I kind of got to go on the Hawaii Incentive trip last week with my Stampin' Up! friends!!  She took "Flat Patty" with her !!!  Thanks for taking me with you Barb!!

Goodies for my New Recruits!

 

I wanted to give a quick shout out, a big hello and welcome again to my newest recruits - Paula, Laurie, Judy, Elaine, Melissa and Collette!!  I have some samples to send you .. I've been packaging them up this morning and will get them to the Post Office today!!  Welcome to the Stampin' Up! family and my Luv 2 Stamp Group!

982 Pennies... are you KIDDING me?!?

 I just had to laugh the other day (or else I would have cried).... I waited in line at the Post Office for 40 minutes because the lady at the counter was paying for her transaction with a bag of 982 Pennies!!!!    I am not kidding!!  No, they were not in rolls.. they were in a bag much like the one in this photo (except it was a Macy's bag)... and trust me, the P.O. employee was NOT thrilled.  He counted them EVER so s-l-o-w-l-y to make a point of the fact that paying for your transaction with 982 pennies was NOT a wonderful thing to do with a line of people out the door!!  

I almost ran up there and paid for her transaction with a $10 bill, but I didn't, because I did NOT WANT her bag of 982 pennies in exchange and I didn't have enough cash for her transaction plus mine!!  .... oh well... it was entertaining and gave everyone in line something to talk about!

Pasadena Rose Parade Floats - 2009

Watch for these floats tomorrow morining in the Pasadena Rose Parade!!

I was born and raised in Pasadena and spent many years decorating the Rose Parade floats with our church youth group! What a FUN experience (except for the industrial strength glue that would never come off!) :)

While in Pasadena last week we went to one of the pavillions to see the volunteers decorating the floats for tomorrow's parade.. here are a few photos for you ... (image how heavenly it was to see all those roses in one place!) :)

 

   

 

Watch for this fun skateboarding doggie!

 

For items like the butterfly and flower below, they cover them mostly with seeds and these can be done many days or weeks ahead of time.  All the live flowers go on last..

   

The people in the photo below are cutting the stems off the roses and putting them in the little vials of water before they go onto a float.

 

This is one of the float designers.. he usually rides a float with one of his gorgeous birds.  I went over to take a photo of the bird, then found out who he was! 

 

Have a wonderful and SAFE New Year's Eve... I'll be here conducting a stamping class! I'll share our project with you tomorrow or the next day!

Where Women Create

Just wanted to pass along a recommendation for a fabulous new publication...  It's called Where Women Create and can be found on Stampington HERE.  I was unable to find it in the stores but I'm sure it's out there somewhere.  I learned about it on Shelli's blog after she mentioned she was one of the featured guests! 

This magazine showcases the craft rooms (more like craft palaces!) of some amazing women! It has awesome ideas for organizing your own space.   I have really enjoyed reading the articles about these women!  I don't have time to read books, but I do enjoy picking up a magazine from time to time.. this is definitely worth reading and drooling over!  (and then dreaming about how to re-do your craft room!) :)

It's a BLAST from the PAST!

Oh my goodness... too funny!!!  Ellen, one of my friends and downline, brought me this rainbow pad last week... she's obviously been buying Stampin' Up! as long as I have!!  I remember this pad from the mid 1990's!!! 

Check out how BIG it is, too!!

Stampin' T-shirts for Convention! (or anytime!)

My new friend, Stacey Carter, designed a FABULOUS T-shirt for her upline's Stampahowlics group for convention, and I knew I wanted one for my group too!!  So she designed a shirt for my Luv 2 Stamp Group - we can wear them to convention or anytime - workshops, meetings, around town, Stamp Camps, etc.!!  What a FUN way to advertise what you do!
