Happy Haunting Halloween Treat Bag

Join me today for a Mini Blog Hop!  Cindee, Lisa and I have 3 projects featuring a 1/2 Size Mini Treat Bag for Halloween!

Did you know you can make the Stampin' Up! Mini Treat Bag even smaller!?  Cindee taught us how!

Mini-treat-bag-halloween-poison-toxic-stampin-up-pattystamps

My friends Cindee, Lisa and I got together last week for an afternoon of stamping, and this is one of the darling projects we made!!  Cindee taught us how to make the 1/2 Size Mini Treat Bag!  I have a tutorial for you and links to their blogs at the bottom of this post!

DSP-happy-haunting-stampin-up-halloween-paper-pattystamps

We used the fun new Happy Haunting paper that will be available starting 9/1/15 in the 2015 Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog, and the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit die to create our spooky Halloween Treat!  This 1/2 size treat bag is the perfect size for some pencils, lip gloss, ruler, or these fun pizza stick treats!  Our 1/2 size bag measures about 2" x 5-1/4".  When you create the Stampin' Up! Mini Treat Bag with the other larger piece, it measures about 3-1/2" x 5-1/4".  So this fun Big Shot thinlit die gives you options for more than one size!!

Mini-treat-bag-halloween-sweet-hauntings-poison-tag-pattystamps-stampin-up

We decorated our bags with a simple punched tag, stamped with the Poison and Toxic bottles from the new Sweet Hauntings stamp set - another great upcoming Holiday Catalog item!! We stamped with the new Archival Black ink pad, (available 9/1/15).. oh my gosh.. it is amazing!!! Stamps so crisp and clean.. we loved it!  We each added some of the Happy Haunting Washi Tape to our tags and I colored some White Perfect Accents with a Black Sharpie.

Behind the tag is a cut down Spider Web Doily.. check out my Baker's Box post here for more info on trimming down your Spider Web Doily!  Again.. just another way to make your supplies go further by giving them a way to adapt to more than one size!

Candy Corn Halloween Treat - Stampin UP! Baker's Box

Halloween-treat-bakers-box-stampin-up-yum-pattystamps

I have had this cute Baker's Box framelit die for a few months, and finally took it out of the package (I'm sure that's happened to you!)... How cute is this!? It's the perfect size for a Halloween Treat or any party favor size treat box!

You'll find this great Baker's Box framelit die on pg 171 of the Annual Stampin' Up! Catalog (#138279).  Die cut it with your Big Shot in any paper or cardstock color or pattern for any occasion!  And add a cute little window to your box with one of the 3 shapes included in the framelit set, and then add a piece of window sheet inside the opening!

I found it to be about the easiest box to put together out of all the Big Shot dies Stampin' Up! offers!  Really helps to use the new Tear & Tape, found on pg 156, #138995. It's great for holding boxes and 3-d gift packaging together!

Light bulb moment pattystamps

I just have to share this fun light bulb moment with you!!  I wanted to get some of the candy corn out of my treat box, and didn't want to untie the whole thing... hello.. did you know that you can just pop out the spout like a little milk carton!  wowza!!

Want to see it in action!?  Watch my Baker's Box Video here!

And another cool tip for you ... trim the new Spider Web doily to any size you wish if it's too big for your crafting project!!  Check out what I did to layer a smaller doily behind the YUM tag!

Above: the adorable little pumpkin image is stamped with a new stamp from the 2015 Holiday catalog, called Howl-o-ween Treat, and then die cut with the coordinating bundle framelit set called Boo to You!  sweet!

Sparkly-seasons-stampin-up-pumpkin-halloween-card-spooky-pattystamps

In my stamping world, the only thing better than a stamp image with a matching punch is a stamp image with a matching Big Shot framelit!! :)  How cute are these pumpkins!?  I used the new Sparkly Seasons stamp set and matching Seasonal Frame thinlits to die cut the pumpkin, stems and "spooky".   The pumpkins are stamped in Tangerine Tango on Tangerine Tango cardstock.

Wondering about the cute polkadot background? I used a card from a past Paper Pumpkin kit - it was black and white - and I brayered it with Tangerine Tango ink! :)

If you've been waiting for the perfect adhesive for delicate items like the Spooky die cut... check out the new Fine-Tip Glue Pen on page 43 of the Holiday catalog... oh my... it is such a wonderful way to adhere your fine, small or delicate items to your crafting projects!

Fine-tip-glue-pen-spooky-stampin-up-pattystamps-tips

The paper I have featured in my projects today can be found on pg 47 of the Holiday catalog.. it's called Happy Haunting!

Dsp happy haunting stampin up pattystamps halloweeen

For this fun "BOO" black glimmer paper card, I took a piece of Basic Black cardstock cut at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored it at 2-3/4" and 5-1/2" to create a fun side fold card design.

  Sparkly-seasons-stampin-up-pumpkin-witch-hat-card-black-glimmer-paper-halloween-pattystamps

The Black Glimmer paper might be easily missed on pg 47... so DON"T MISS IT! :)

How fun is this glimmery black witch hat and "BOO" die cut!?

I used the Boo to You framelits (pg 49) for these cute glimmery black die cuts.

Sparkly-seasons-stampin-up-pumpkin-witch-hat-black-glimmer-paper-halloween-pattystamps

The big pumpkin is stamped with the same supplies as my first card, and the little pumpkin is found in the Howl-o-ween Treat set (pg 49) and die cut with the Boo to You framelits.

Hope you had fun on our Sneak Peek Tour today!!

Decorate your Halloween Candy Bucket

Here is a fun activity you could do with the kids before Halloween!!

Decorate your Halloween Candy Bucket with some Stampin' Up! accessories, die cuts, stamps, ribbons, etc.!

Fun-fall-trick-or-treat-candy-bucket-stampin-up

I picked up the cute bucket at my local dollar store and decorated it with some punched out headstones, die cut ghosts, and Stampin' Up! Ribbon and Twine!

Fun-fall-trick-or-treat-candy-bucket-ghost

The cute ghostie is die cut from the Fun Fall Framelits found on pg 46 of the Holiday Catalog.  I created the headstones by punching out Basic Gray cardstock with the Note Tag Punch (pg 13 Holiday catalog).  If you purchase the Merry Everything stamp set, it will include the Good to the Last Bite stamp (and 4 others) and you'll get a 15% discount on your purchase with the set and punch!

Oh, and the cute face on the ghost was stamped with one of the stamps from the Fall Fest set.. so again, if you are looking for another bundle at 15% off, grab the Fall Fest set and matching framelits for your 15% discount price!

Fun-fall-trick-or-treat-candy-bucket-tombstone

Do you have a lot of trick or treaters?  I remember my parents would have hundreds of trick or treaters at our house when I was young.. and we used to have several dozen, but it seems to have dwindled over the years.

You can see and purchase all of the products I used in the table below.

Stampin' Up! Halloween Treat Bag

Halloween is the perfect time for quick and easy Treat Bags!

I love these new Petite Cafe Gift Bags found on pg 10 of the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog!!

Motley-monsters-freaky-friends-halloween-bag-stampin-up

These Petite Cafe Bags really aren't all that petite.. they are 8" tall, so they hold a great sampling of treats! They are poly-lined, so you can put cookies or wrapped candies or anything you wish in them!

Motley-monsters-freaky-friends-halloween-bag-tag-stampin-up

You can see that I've elected to just decorate it simply with a strip of paper from the Motley Monsters paper pack (pg 45 Holiday catalog) and stamp a quick tag with the fun Freaky Friends stamp set. You could stamp right on these kraft bags if you wish!

Today's post is Part 2 of a 3-part mini-series featuring Halloween Projects.  Be sure to check out yesterday's Memory Tray wall decor project here, and tune in tomorrow for a cute Halloween gift box treat!

OH>> if you didn't recognize the cute black and white star paper... it's actually a Project Life card that I cut up and used on my projects!  You'll find that card in the Seasonal Snapshot Project LIfe card collection on pg 35 in the Holiday catalog!

Grab a package of Cafe Bags here in my online store.  You get 10 in a package for only $5.95!!

Stampin' Up! Halloween Home Decor

Boo!

Ok, well, it's not quite Halloween but you definitely have time to make a cute home decor Memory Tray wall hanging like this with Stampin' Up! Motley Monsters paper and the Freaky Friends stamp set before Halloween!

Memory-tray-halloween-project-life-motley-monsters

Memory-tray-halloween-project-patty  I bought a Memory Tray at a national chain crafting store, and used Stampin' Up! paper and supplies, including Project Life by Stampin' Up! cards to fill in the spots in the tray! Super Quick and simple!

You'll need:

Motley Monsters Designer Paper #135819

and Freaky Friends set #135158/135161

on page 45 of the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.

I also used some other supplies.. here are some close up photos of each section with a little more detail of what you'll need to complete them.

Don't want to make a frame or tray?  use each section as design inspiration for a card or smaller framed project!

Motley-monsters-freaky-friends-halloween-memory-frame-1

Above: I made tombstones out of the Note Tag punch and die cut a ghost from the Fun Fall Framelits to add on top of the Motley Monsters designer paper. BE SCARY was stamped in Memento black ink and it is found in the Holiday Invitation set on pg 49 in the Holiday catalog.

Motley-monsters-freaky-friends-halloween-memory-frame-2

Above: This is just a piece of the Motley Monsters paper cut out and added to a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock.

Motley-monsters-freaky-friends-halloween-memory-frame-3

Above:  more Motley Monsters DSP added to each frame section, with another "tombstone" punched from the Tag punch.  I cut the little blue monster out of the DSP.

Motley-monsters-freaky-friends-halloween-memory-frame-4

Above:  same as above.. Motley Monster DSP :)

Motley-monsters-freaky-friends-halloween-memory-frame-5

Above: this is a Project Life by Stampin' Up! card added to Pumpkin Pie cardstock. I embellished a bit with a die cut ghost and punched out moon. The Project Life card is from the Seasonal Snapshot package, found on pg 35 in the Holiday Catalog.

Motley-monsters-freaky-friends-halloween-memory-frame-6

Above: I stamped on a Project Life card (from the Seasonal Snapshot pack) with the Halloween Street single stamp on pg 47 of the Holiday catalog. I added paper from the Motley Monsters pack and some Tangerine Tango two-tone twine (pg 45).

Motley-monsters-memory-tray-halloween-1

Above: tip ... place Stampin' Dimensionals in each section and then place your cards in each section. If you want to change the cards, just use a Paper Piercer to lift the corner of the card and take it out.

I used my favorite Dots & Stripes mask from Stampin' Up! for the background.. just added a fun bit of whimsy to this card!! See THIS POST for a great tip on sponging with the Dot Mask. The Calypso Coral Seam Binding Ribbon is my FAVE.. I had to add that to the card too!

----------------

I have such a cute Halloween Treat for you today!!

Jack-o-lantern-cello-bag-treats-2

I saw the idea of drawing a face on a cello bag on Pinterest... well... if you know me well, you know that

I AM NOT AN ARTIST... therefore I stamp... or, in this case, use My Digital Studio!

Instead of trying to freehand draw jack o lantern faces, I created them in My Digital Studio,

printed them and slipped them into the cello bag and traced them with a Sharpie Marker!

I used THIS PUMPKIN PATCH MDS download for the artwork.

If you are more artistic than I am, I'm sure you could try drawing your own.

Do you recognize the tags??

They are the same My Digital Studio artwork as I featured in my fall Printer Tray project!

Here is a little tip for tying the bow.... first tie a piece of Gumball Green Ribbon around the cello to secure it, then, add a bow of Chevron ribbon... cute cute!
