Peach Parfait - Just Believe Stamp A Stack class sample

Wow.. I can't believe how behind I got in posting samples... this was from a Stamp A Stack class a month ago... I got this great card idea from my upline Sandy and from my downline Janet.. they both did cards similar to this featuring Peach Parfait ink and cardstock, and the Just Believe Stamp set.

The left panel is embossed using the Finial Press Embossing folder and the Big Shot from Stampin' Up!.  Then we inked the brayer with Peach Parfait ink and LIGHTLY rolled over the embossed/raised area to make the design POP.

the little Basic Pearls give such a sweet touch to this card.

after our class, I got the idea to add some Poppy Parade cardstock and butterflies to the card.. I kind of like how this POPS

Stamp A Stack Class sample - part 1

A favorite among my Stampin' Up! class attendees is our Stamp A Stack Classes... we make 2 of each card during this class and they love going home with a stack of cards ready to send family and friends.

Here was one of the cards we made last month:

The muscial score paper is from the NEWSPRINT pack of DSP (pg 175, item 117166).  We ran it through the Big Shot with the Finial Press embossing folder and then rubbed Champagne Mist Shimmer paint on it with a sponge dauber... it's very pretty in person!  The card is Natural Ivory cardstock.. really yummy.

The gorgeous image at the bottom is from the FREE STAMP SET called BLISS. This is only available for a few more weeks during Sale a Bration!

 

 Students in class had their choice of ribbons and different sentiments to embellish this card.

Petal Cone Die Pocket - Luv 2 Stamp Group Mtg Make & Take

 

This was one of the Make & Take Projects I had ready for my downline at our Luv 2 Stamp Group meeting in February.  It features the new Big Shot die from Stampin' Up! called the PETAL CONE.  I LOVE THIS new die .. you can make a 3-D cone or make it flat!  So versatile and FUN ! 

 

You can put the contrasting 1/2 round scallop piece behind or in front of the 1/2 round flap.. 2 fun looks!

As you can see I also used the new FUN FLOWER DIE # 121812.

After cutting out the flowers with the die, you run them through the Big Shot again with an embossing folder for texture, and sponge the edges for dimension. Square Lattice embossing folder used here, #119976.

I'm sure nobody else does this.... but I bought this wheel when it first came out in the Stampin' Up! catalog and finally got around to making cards with it last weekend!!  aaaah!!

I used a scrap of Natural Ivory cardstock, ran it through the Big Shot with the new Framed Tulips Embossing folder (item 121809, pg 28 occasions mini catalog), then use the Decorative label punch (item 120907, pg 30 occasions mini catalog) and just punched part of the punch.. fun shape.. right?  That gives it the flat sides and flat bottom.

I also punched it out using the whole punched image on the tags in the cards above.

Christmas Stamp a Stack card #4

Here is the 4th and final project from my CHRISTMAS STAMP A STACK CLASS last month. 

This is actually not a new idea.. I got a swap at the Founder's Circle trip in December with this circular focal point idea. 

HOW TO:

1. ink the trees from Scenic Season or Lovely as a Tree in Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White cardstock - BEFORE CLEANING or reinking it, stamp it again on another Whisper White panel to place INSIDE your card
2. using the new 2-1/2" extra large circle punch, punch out a portion of the tree image
3. using a 3/4" or 1" circle punch, punch out a piece of a "Post-it" note, being sure to get a portion of the sticky part in your circle
4. place this small circle onto your larger punched out circle
5. sponge OVER the small circle and above the "horizon" line with Night of Navy ink and a Stampin' Sponge to indicate a darker sky area
6. use the Northern Flurry Embossing folder to emboss the background Whisper White panel and layer DSP, greeting and tree embellishment to the card.

Christmas Stamp a Stack card #2

Here is another card we made at my Christmas Stamp A Stack class last month... enjoy the quick and fun ideas!  THIS IS A HYBRID MY DIGITAL STUDIO CARD - part MDS and part cardstock/ribbon/big shot.

The focal point in this card was made in My Digital Studio. I printed out the "family with tree" image from the WELCOME CHRISTMAS digital download  (#123962, $3.95) with a kraft script background, and die cut it with the Top Note Die and the Big Shot! The background is done with the Petals a Plenty  Embossing Folder and the brayer technique.

 

For the tree decorations on the card above, I put brads on the tree in MDS.

For the tree below, we added Basic Pearls to the tree.

 

We topped it off with a Basic Rhinestone on top!
 

The greetings were printed in My Digital Studio as well, and punched out with a scallop oval punch.

Do you know how to get this lovely blank oval area using the Stampin' Up! Textured Impressions Embossing Folders???

Normally when you use one of the Impressions Folders you get an all over textured impression like this:

But I got a cool swap at Convention from Betty Kincannon who learned this technique from this blog here and here.  I wanted to try this with our Stampin' Up! Impressions folders, and I knew you'd want to see a tutorial, so I modified the instructions to use my Stampin' Up! products and I eliminated a few of her steps to suit my needs.... HERE YOU GO...

I used these frames from a national craft store chain.

UPDATE.... you can also make your own template/frame! Use our Stampin' Up! Chipboard sheets, and any Big Shot die, and cut an opening in a rectangular piece of chipboard and make your own frame.

Big Shot Class - project #4

Here is the final Big Shot project from my class last weekend... this is a fun Snowflake card using both an embossing folder and a new snowflake die!

 

Using the beautiful new Marina Mist Cardstock and the Northern Flurry Embossing folder from the HOliday Mini Catalog, emboss the snowflake background, then, to highlight the snowflakes, swirl a Stampin' Sponge on a Whisper White Craft ink pad and swirl the white ink over the raised snowflakes.

To add more glitz, I also sprayed a mixture of Frost White Shimmer paint and rubbing alcohol onto the card (see THIS POST for info). 
 

and theeeeeeennnnnnnnnn for even MORE GLITZ.... students had their choice to apply either the new pearls or rhinestones to the centers of the snowflakes and on the greeting!

 

The greeting has several layers...  the snowflakes are from the Northern Frost decorative strip die on pg 38 in the HOliday mini catalog... LOVE this die.. the snowflakes are gorgeous!    See list below for all supplies needed for this card.

Big Shot Class - project #3

I hope you are enjoying the Big Shot projects we did at my Big Shot class on Saturday.. here is the 3rd project we made... it was inspired by a fellow stamper, but there is no watermark on the photo I have .. so if it was you, please email me so I can give you credit! :)

Big Shot Ice Cream Cone!

 

 

To make the cone:

1. Die Cut a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock using the Scallop Square die (item 115950) pg 207, $21.95 and the Big Shot
2. Put the scalloped square through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder (item 119976) pg 214, $7.95
3. turn the square on a diagonal
4. using a Stylus (item 100663) pg 196, and a straight edge, score into a triangle (I counted 4 scallops from the top point, and scored from there to the bottom tip)
5. turn the piece over and sponge with Soft Suede Ink and a Stampin' Sponge
6. fold flaps over and staple shut
7. hide staple with the punched greeting on the top
8. fill with triangle shaped greeting or even candies!

Wedding Bells

Our nephew got married yesterday and of course I had to make them a Stampin' Up! card.. I stuck with black, white and Peach Parfait for this afternoon/evening event in San Francisco.

Front:  Embossed with the Big Shot and the Elegant Lines Embossing folder (#119277), punched with the Scallop Border punch (#118402) and embellished with 3 layered Paper Daises (#119243) and an Antique Brad (#117273) AND Basic Pearls (#119247).

Inside: Top Note Die (#113463) embossed with the Big Shot and the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder (#120175), and decorated with a Vintage Brad and an oval scallop basic black punched image embellished with Basic Pearls.
